Saw a link on our submariners ass'n site, and remembered that on the Opportune (S20) in 1964-1966 we were joined by a number of Canadian crew. What a laugh! We had some great runs ashore. We were all sorry when they had to return to Canada. By golly - could they drink!!! ;-)

I was attatched to the 6th Submarine Squadron on H.M.sm Astute for two stints in 57 and 61 to 62 in Halifax and lived in Cork Street with my wife , Very enjoyable times, Graham (Jan) Russell.

DBF! Just re-connected with SAOC recently, also have joined multiple sites for submariners on Facebook, notably the Ojibwa project.
Currently I am unemployed (my choice), but am starting to think about becoming a working stiff again. any ideas?
